Nethy Bridge is situated in the Cairngorm National Park 8 miles north of Aviemore and 5 miles south of Grantown on Spey.  It offers the opportunity to take advantage of the many sporting and recreational facilities in the area.  It is within the Abernethy Forest where Ospreys, Capercaillie and Crested Tits nest. Nethy Bridge is 1 mile from the River Spey, one of Scotland's foremost Salmon rivers.  It has a 9-hole golf course with excellent 18 hole golf courses in the surrounding villages.  The Cairngorm mountain range and the Lecht Ski centre are 20-30 minutes away and offer winter sports as well as summer walking and biking.

Within Nethy Bridge, there is a large games pitch with football goals, 2 tennis courts, lawn bowling and a children's play park. There are many beautiful forest walks starting from the heart of the village.

Nethy Bridge also has a hotel with bar and restaurant, a beautiful new cafe, a very well stocked shop, an exceptional butcher and deli, and a lively local church.
